Module 1 introduces you to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, including the Act, Regulations, and Code. You'll learn what the legislation entails, the roles and responsibilities of all workers in each section, and how enforcement is carried out through orders, administrative penalties, and tickets.

Module 2 focuses on applying OHS legislation, covering general requirements and safety precautions. You'll learn how to implement the legislation in areas such as personal protective equipment (PPE), confined spaces, fall protection, and other common hazards.

Module 3 covers incidents, reporting, and investigations. This module defines reportable and non-reportable incidents, outlines what must be reported and under which sections, details the required information, and explains the steps to follow after an incident, including conducting investigations.

Module 4 addresses safe mining practices, with a focus on the use of powered mobile equipment and operator responsibilities. You’ll review Part 32 (Excavating and Tunneling) and Part 36 (Mining) of the OHS Code. By the end, you'll be able to identify the three parts of the OHS Code that apply to mining activities and understand how to apply them in your role as a supervisor.

Upon successfully passing the exam, students will receive a certification valid for three years. Certificates can be accessed by navigating to the "My Transcripts" section in the drop-down menu.?
